Leonard is a partner in our Real Estate Group. His practice focuses on advising some of Canada’s largest developers in project development, financings, acquisitions and dispositions. He has represented land developers, builders, lenders, landlords, and tenants in commercial, industrial and mixed use projects.

He works with legal departments and portfolio/asset managers of REITs as well as both public companies and private companies. He has provided advice and negotiated joint ventures through-out Canada. Leonard regularly goes to clients with creative solutions to complex problems.

Leonard frequently works with other members of the firm on merger and acquisition transactions, secured lending transactions, reorganization of real estate portfolios, and litigation advice as it pertains to real estate.

Leonard has been an instructor for the Bar Admissions Course and has lectured for the Canadian Bar Association (Ontario) and the Law Society of Upper Canada, most recently for the “Six Minute Lawyer” series.
