Kobi joined Minden Gross in 2010 and is an associate in the Business Law Group with a practice that focuses on corporate and commercial transactions with an emphasis on incorporation, organization and reorganization of companies, mergers and acquisitions and corporate finance. Kobi provides his clients with advice on a broad range of corporate/commercial-related matters.
Kobi also works closely with start-up companies in all stages of their growth, especially through various start-up incubators and accelerators. His own entrepreneurial spirit enables him to understand the pressures and challenges that young companies face and is able to assist them in acquiring a sound understanding of the legal, financial and regulatory frameworks for their operations.
Kobi is licensed to practice in Ontario, New York, and Washington, D.C. This allows him to work with international clients seamlessly on cross-border transactions. His specialized tax training enables him to understand and advise on tax aspects of clients’ businesses.
Prior to going into private practice, Kobi worked in various capacities at a large international brewery, where he was posted across Canada and in the in-house legal department. While in law school, Kobi clerked for the Chief Judge at United States District Court, Eastern District of Michigan.
Away from work, Kobi enjoys spending weekends at the cottage with family and friends. He’s played hockey since childhood and continues to play recreationally for his beloved “Green Lanterns”, still naively dreaming of getting paid, rather than paying, to play. Kobi’s other interests include his annual baseball road trip, humbly playing golf and an extensive music collection.
