Area One Farms raises $130M for its third farmland private equity fund

Area One Farms completed its third farmland private equity fund, raising $130 million from institutional investors seeking initial access to agricultural assets. Area One Farms Fund III exceeded its $100 million target by 30% by signing up more limited partners, including first-time Canadian institutional backers — an endowment, an insurer and a pension fund —  who joined Area One’s existing investors. Minden Gross LLP acted for Area One Farms with a team that included Brian Temins (Business Law) and Samantha Prasad (Tax).
