Having
shared experiences with my colleagues
from other firms, I can say that Minden
Gross provides a unique work environment
that would be welcomed by most young
lawyers. Reflecting on the articling
process, I selected Minden Gross because
I felt that the firm would provide me
with the opportunity to work on complex
legal matters in a collegial and
supportive environment and my 5 years
with the firm have served to confirm my
initial impressions.
Given the size of the firm, I have had
the opportunity to work closely with
some of the most well respected lawyers
in Toronto on a variety of commercial
law matters and I am continually humbled
by the extent to which these individuals
are willing to lend their time and
insights to assist me with files and
support my professional growth.
Minden Gross commits significant
resources to the professional
development of its young lawyers through
continuing legal education programs
hosted by leading practitioners at the
firm and various professional
development organizations.
The firm also supports a number of
well-attended social/recreational
activities that bring the lawyers and
staff together outside of the office
setting. I believe that these
initiatives have contributed to creating
an environment where people enjoy
working together and develop genuine
friendships.

During the OCI process, Minden Gross
stood out to me from other firms because
of its people. It had leading
practitioners who loved their job and
who seemed to be able to balance work
along with the rest of their life. After
summering and articling at the firm, I
can verify that these things are true.
The lawyers at Minden Gross are
friendly, approachable, and eager to
mentor students. I worked on many
interesting files and quickly became
part of the team.
